I was not present so much of this may be true but I have had no independent corroboration. It was a successful weekend at the 41st Can Am all around for the CT Grey. Being able to field three team in three different divisions was an impressive showing and demonstrated that the CT Grey are solid and well organized. There were a number of guest players and several mentioned they were honored to play for the Grey. Thanks to Burt for managing the sidelines...

A great day out on Block Island this past Saturday as the Grey beat the Rhode Island Old Cocks 45-5 in a very nice match that has...believe it or not, rejuvenated this game and may lead to a regular fixture during the season as RI and some of the Newport old boys are trying to put a few games together and play down at Fort Adams in Newport...who doesn't like a ride down to Newport... The game was well played by both sides and enjoyed by all... A couple of observations... There was a notable absence on the island this year...this contributed...

It is with the deepest sadness that I write to all of you tonight and tell you that ED ROBINSON has passed away. I do not have any details at this time but my, and our, very good friend Ed passed away this afternoon after a long battle with cancer. Ed was a very early member of the CT GREY, a past President, long time executive committee member, a fullback and wing...an immense promoter and supporter of rugby in New York City, Connecticut and his hometown of Cheshire. I am rarely  at a loss for words... but I am at a complete loss tonight. Dorothy, Kelly and Brendan... Please accept our condolences.

GREY AT FRANCONIA GO 1-1…BOSTON RFC FORGETS TO COME TO NH AGAIN

It was a magnificent weekend in New Hampshire...The weather was perfect, the pitch was mowed and there was a great turnout  by 9 clubs, two of which were from Canada. There was one glaring exception that we are trying to parse out since both Toronto and Ottawa are much farther away from Franconia NH than Boston MA. Kudos to the founders of the OMOM Joe Flynn, Mike Flynn, who were able to join us, and Bill Good, who was not able to be in NH due to yet another wedding in Ireland... These guys had a great idea many years ago and I am happy that the Boston Irish Wolfhounds RFC and the Worcester RFC have...
