If you have not submitted your vote for our various awards, please send either Mac or me (David Kirk) your votes for the various awards.  As this is our awards banquet, we wanted to remind everyone what awards are up for grabs and what they mean:

Most Valuable Player – Forwards: To the member who has demonstrated through on-field actions the qualities and athletic abilities that have placed the member above his peers in overall performance and level of play.  Off-field actions may also be considered where leadership and involvement in club activities are noted.  The recipient must be an active playing member of the club. Selected by all current Playing and Social Members.

Most Valuable Player – Backs: To the member who has demonstrated through on-field actions the qualities and athletic abilities that have placed the member above his peers in overall performance and level of play.  Off-field actions may also be considered where leadership and involvement in club activities are noted.  The recipient must be an active playing member of the club. Selected by all current Playing and Social Members.

Rugger Hugger Award: To the lady whose presence at games and club functions has shown through her presence a devotion to the spirit and camaraderie of the sport possessed by its male members.  The recipient must be somehow attached or closely associated to one of the active members of the club. John Falatyn Freight Train Award: To the person who has demonstrated through on-field actions the enthusiasm for the game of rugby and field prowess best emulated by the personality and athletic ability of John Falatyn.  Game performance is a critical factor in determining the recipient and dominance on the field is the major factor in consideration for the award.  The recipient must be an active playing member of the club. Selected by all current Playing and Social Members.

Rookie’s Award: Do we really need a description?

Captain’s Award: Bestowed by our dear captains to the player they feel is deserving of an award.
