Hello everyone, just a reminder that the AGM is a few weeks away and if you would like to run for any office (President, Captain, Social Sec, Corresponding Sec, Treasurer, Field Sec) please let me know firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, if you are in need of any help due to the storm this weekend please let us know and we can help with tree removal or whatever is needed to get you back up and running.
Apologies to all for the unfortunate postponement of the BBO a bit back - weather looked OK until 8:00 when the rain just exploded in Connecticut. We will reschedule the event for this Friday, November 4th - same location but since this may be daylight savings time – we may want to start around 10:00 – 10:30 am. If you were scheduled to play and cannot make this date – please let me know. Also, if you were begging off anyway because of the threat of rain on Friday and now want to re-confirm again – please let me know. Once I know if we have any changes in the number of players – I will be better able to know if we have any openings for any additional players on the 4th.
Any questions, please contact me. Anthony W. Johnson, III Northeast Utilities (860) 665-3858
Hello everyone, the game tomorrow is on a turf field so no metal studs. Also because of the projected weather conditions please keep looking on the front page of the website www.cgrfc.org for updates in case the game is cancelled or postponed.
Bill Bishop email@example.com is coordinating a coat drive at our AGM for those less fortunate to help keep them warm in the upcoming colder months. Please look around your houses (and feel free to tell your friends, family, co-workers about the drive) and grab any warm clothing (coats) you are not using and bring it to the AGM at Bubba’s house.
Hello everyone please let Capt. Lou firstname.lastname@example.org and Capt. Mike email@example.com know your availability for this weeks game no later than Thursday night. Also please remember to pay your dues if you have not already.
The Game this week is a 11:30am kickoff. The address of match is Triangle Park, 328 E Old Country Rd Hicksville, NY 11801. Dave Albano firstname.lastname@example.org is looking to set up a car pool if anyone is interested please let him know. There are several games after our match so it should be a great day of rugby.
Grey 62 Worcestor 12
My guess would be nine tries with 7 converted and a penalty kick as the Grey machine scored 62 points. Thanks to Beaver, Jay Rubino, Kev Dog, JP, Jon Leone and KO for helping Worcestor out. Great forward play by Mike Powers, KO, Bubba, Beaver and James Ackman. Mike Hale, Ben Boutagh, and Nipper distributed great ball from the halfback positions. Bill Bishop, Charlie Mattison and Phil Lord had some strong runs from the center position. Great to see Kev Dog and Z and back out again contributing to the attack in the backs. MOTM to James Ackman who played with great pace and scored two tries. Thanks to Dave Fischer for reffing again this week. Next week a competitive match at Long Island. Let Mike or myself know if you can attend. Thanks to Worcestor for playing hard for 60 minutes . Great group with a good attitude.
Please bring your dues to the match tomorrow (Saturday) or contact me to make arrangements for payment.
Thanks, Kevin Trammel/Treasurer
