Hello everyone, we just found out at 3:45 today that White Plains had to cancel for tomorrow. Their fields are flooded and they do not have access to another pitch. The game is being rescheduled for October 8th.
It is that time of year again for our BBO. The date will be: Friday, October 14th. We will need to start tee times at 11:00 am in order to get completed by dark.
I will send out more info as it comes in. In the mean time, I will need to know who will be playing and what their handicap is as well as their shirt size.
Please contact me directly at the number below.

Hello CT Grey!
My name is Melissa and I am a founding member of the newest women’s rugby
team in Fairfield County, the CT Lady Yankees–a part of the men’s club,
the CT Yankees.
We are looking to connect with local clubs in the area in hopes of
spreading the word about our team and building our numbers! We are
currently a small group of ladies (rookies and vets) who love the game and
would love to have a solid team going soon.
If you or your team know of any ladies that would be interested in
playing, send them our way! You can have them email us at
firstname.lastname@example.org or find us on Facebook (CT Lady Yankees). Thank
you in advance for you help in our recruiting efforts! Best of luck this

It wasn’t pretty but it was a lot of Rugby and a win for the Club. Thanks to Bil Aman, Joe Falivene, Kevin Trammel and John Leone for stepping up and playing for Springfield. Without their help we would not have a full team to play against. After 40 minutes Flynn, Fino and a few others helped the Rifles. The first period was solid as we scored three tries. Charlie Mattison, Darrell Garrison, and Kevin O’Sullivan touched down for a 21-0 lead. For the next 40 minutes we did not play that well. Poor passing and the inability to secure possession allowed the Rifles to get 2 tries. We finished well as Kevin O’sullivan and Bill Bishop got tries. Ed Carr Matt Leanard and Beaver led the attack in the forwards. Jay Rubino, Charlie Mattison and Norbert had some nice line breaks. Joe Bordieri and Ben Boutagh distributed some good ball from the halfback position. MOTM to Charlie Mattison. Next week 11:00am match at White Plains. Let Mike Hale or myself know if you will play. Plan to bring your A game Think about how we can work better as a team.
Thanks, Capt. Lou
We have been in contact with the American Red Cross to try to set up an event in the winter months where then Grey would host a Blood Drive. This is still in the works, but in the mean time the Red Cross has asked for our help with an event they are doing in Middletown, CT. They are holding a blood drive on Sept. 22nd (Thursday) from 1pm-5:45pm at the Polish Falcons Club (144 Prout Hill Rd Middletown, CT). They are asking for us to volunteer to donate as well as get the word out to anyone we know. If you are interested in volunteering please let me know
Thanks, Mike Meyer
Hello everyone the game this Sunday is at 1pm at the White Oak School in Westfield MA. The directions that were given were to go 91N to the Mass Pike (towards Albany). Take exit 3 and a left off the exit. Drive for 3 miles and take a left at the Purple Onion – school is a 1/4 mile down the road. I looked up the address in case people wanted to GPS it but it may be wiser to follow the directions above : 533 North Road Westfield, MA 01085
